    Winners of the Mersen Innovation Challenge 2015
    The announcement of the winners of the "Mersen Innovation Challenge" is regularly one of the highlights in MERSEN's annual schedule.  

    Winner in the category "Best Idea": Electronic switch for CERN
    Jörg Ihrig from Mersen Switzerland led a German-French electrical protection team consisting of Marc Boon, Winfried Kipke and Jean-Charles Guinut.
    The jury chose the collaborative project to develop an electronic switch using IGBT power semiconductors from Infineon and a package of fuses, busbars and cooling equipment from Mersen.
